Lando Norris and McLaren bounced back from the disappointment of Canada, for his third victory of the season, with Oscar Piastri giving McLaren its fourth 1-2 finish of 2025. The two drivers battled hard but ultimately but Piastri could make his one pass stick, and the two far outclassed all other comers in Austria, with Ferrari having to settle for a distant third with Charles Leclerc. This was also a bad day for Red Bull at their home race, with Max Verstappen being knocked out on the first lap by Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli, while Yuki Tsunoda was last of the finishers and never looked capable of a charge through the back markers.Kimi Haikunen once again wins the round, and his recent charge up the standings has taken him from last to third in just five races! RobM takes second and Pastor Maldonado comes third.Zan4774 continues to be pedal to the metal and is now 134 points ahead of Suyash , who opted to take a drop on the day, and who manages to hold off Kimi Haikunen for the moment. We head to Silverstone next weekend where McLaren will again be expected to dominate, although Mercedes will be hoping for cooler weather, which might perhaps give George Russell a better shot for a podium finish.
