edited by Jody Scheckter at 11:58 pm, Mar 15 Kimi Antonelli earned his first ever F1 victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, taking pole and leading the entire race. George Russell made it a 1-2 for Mercedes, and also won the sprint race the day before to give Mercedes a great start to the new season.

Ferrari showed that they are the one team that can challenge Mercedes right now, and managed to fight for lead positions for a while, before Russell pulled away, with Lewis Hamilton taking a first F1 race podium for the Scuderia since joining them last year.

3 Max V and David D share the round win, as Alessandro Zuccarello takes third ahead of a mass of players who all made the same picks.

One of those, Arun, is now the overall leader, with David D in second and nkroeze dropping one position to third.

The Japanese Grand Prix is up next in two weeks. China appears to have confirmed that trouble brews at McLaren, where neither car could even start the race in Shanghai, and at Red Bull, that again only had one car finish the race. Both teams have a couple of weeks to try to find solutions, or risk losing more ground to the leaders, and will welcome having all of April to get things straightened out now that the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix have been cancelled due to the war in the region.
