Welcome to the 2024 Fantasy Formula 1 Season!

Somehow, the longest F1 season resulted in the closest Fantasy finish we've ever had. 1 Max V ekes out a two point victory over Prost! and David D who tie on points, with Prost! taking 2nd on the merits of having selected two more 3rd place finishers over David D.

In a season opposite to his namesake, 1 Max V started slow, but dominated the second half of the year, never dropping below 2nd overall from Hungary on. Amazingly, 1 Max V took just a single 0 drop at Round 1, meaning there were 3 rounds out there where drivers could have been saved for later! 1 Max V was also last year's winner, and 2022's runner up... making them *the* person to beat next season. Once again 1 Max V takes home the top prize of $190! Congratulations!

In the points-tie for the remaining podium positions, Prost! and David D had to come on strong over the last 8 rounds, taking down the likes of curley and Slater Sn who had been dominant in the top 3 overall until the very end. Both Prost! and David D made up 5 positions over the last quarter of the season. At the end, both participants ended up at 1240 points, an average take of 62 points per round. Both drivers each picked the winner 12 times, and the runner up 13 times. But it was Prost!'s 11 3rd place picks over David D's 9 that made the difference. Was it RUS in Canada and Azerbaijan? Maybe! Prost!, however, did seem to intentionally drop 4 rounds vs. David D's 2 drops... was it was saving a few drivers that made the difference? Maybe! With the results so close, it could have been anything from a single bonus point for fastest lap, or some Sprint Race points that could have sent either of these folks to the top.

In the end Prost! will take home $114 for 2nd, and David D $76 for 3rd. This is Prost!'s second season as runner up to 1 Max V, and David D's first time back in the money since he won it all in 2021. Great job to both for an exciting finish!

The off-season is upon us, but it's shorter than ever. Before you know it, the driver's will be back behind their wheels, with some crazy changes like Lewis Hamilton in a red car. McLaren finished the season strong, will they carry that over to 2025? It looks like Max has the biggest target yet on his back, and his buddy Lando is aiming for it.
