Welcome to the 2025 Fantasy Formula 1 Season!

With the end of the DRS-era, comes the end of Max Verstappen's years-long stint as the standing world champion. Despite McLaren's apparent attempt to give Max one last shot at the championship, Lando Norris returns to his early season championship form to become the Drivers' World Champion for 2025! Max ekes out a 2nd place overall finish, with Piastri, who was the championship leader for the middle of the season, taking 3rd.
In the Fantasy championship, Arun surges across the second-half of the season to nab the top spot! This is Arun's second championship, having won in his 2019 rookie season. Arun was the only one to average more than 60 points per round, optimizing his drops and maximizing the sprint-race points on offer. His strategic play earns him $220 for first place!
Suyash takes 2nd place this season, in his first year. In contrast to Arun's surge, Suyash was the epitome of consistency, never below 3rd place overall from Round 4 onward. That march across the season makes him a threat to win it all next year, but for this year he will have to settle for 2nd place and $132.
Wrapping up the podium, Lewis H takes home 3rd. With a strategy right in between the all-or-nothing charge of Arun, and the consistency of Suyash, Lewis H shows there are many ways to land in the money; in this case $88. Congrats!
The winners should have their earnings waiting in their PayPal accounts! Once again, congratulations to our top three!
After four decades on the F1 grid, Sauber will be leaving next season as they become the Audi factory team. New regulations for 2026 could be an opportunity for another shakeup at the top of the championships, or they could simply be an opportunity for the better funded teams to flex their advantage by adapting quickest to the rules.
2026 will also be our
twentieth
season of Fantasy F1! Huge thank you to all the participants over the years, especially those of you that keep coming back season after season, bringing friends and family in with you. This league is run entirely by word of mouth, just for the fun of adding some stakes to the races, and I'm amazed that it seems to still be going strong. It's great to have so many folks (from all around the world even!) to share F1 with!
An extra huge thanks to Dan (Jody Scheckter) who has been with us for 10 years now, and is absolutely indispensable running the week-to-week operations of the website. I love the race write ups, the season tracking graphs, troubleshooting issues, keeping on top of last minute driver changes, and all the help with everything. And other participants have told me they appreciate what you do as well! Thank you!
The next 20 years of FF1 starts in Australia in just 3 months! Hope to see you all then!
