After a 14 year absence, Imola returned as an F1 track in 2020 to help fill out the schedule, and has found a place in the 2021 schedule after the cancellation of the Chinese Grand Prix.

It will always be remembered for the 1994 race weekend, when Roland Ratzenberger and Ayton Senna lost their lives in crashes a day apart.
