The track is the newest Tilke design, featuring 16 medium speed corners, sculpted elevation changes, and very long straights that will make the circuit one of F1's fastest. Even with the 2011 championship in hand, Vettel pulls no punches in the inaugural Indian GP by taking the win, pole, fastest lap and leading ever lap in the race. Button finished 2nd with Alonso 3rd. Red Bull appears to have time in hand again as Vettel and Webber take 1-2 on the grid. McLaren is next fastest with Hamilton ahead of Button on row 2. Ferrari locks out row 3 with Alonso and Massa as their cars seem to be missing a bit of ultimate pace. The top 10 in India: VET WEB HAM BUT ALO MAS RAI PER MAL ROS Vettel is 2 for 2 winning in India for the 2nd time in another dominating fashion. Vettel has now led every lap for the last several races. Putting in another brilliant drive, Alonso hauls his Ferrari home in 2nd place, making use of a good start and pit stops to split the Red Bulls, but loses another 7 points net to Vettel. Webber takes 3rd, helping Red Bull consolidate their lead in the manufacturer's championship. Hamilton and Button round out the top 5, with Massa placing a strong but not amazing 6th.
