Abu Dhabi's futuristic new course at Yaz Marina Circuit will host the penultimate round of the season as an evening spectacular.

The course is another Hermann Tilke designed track, with 21 corners running around the man-made Yas Island. Everything about the track is mind boggling, including a part of the course that runs between the two towers of the track's hotel, and the pit lane exit that runs through a tunnel under the track itself.

In 2010, Abu Dhabi was the final event of the season. Vettel wins from pole, coming from behind in points to win his first championship as Alonso gets stuck behind Petrov and can't cover the point difference. Hamilton and Button put their McLarens on the podium in 2nd and 3rd. Qualifying Summary: Vettel ties Mansell's single-season pole record by scoring his 14th pole of the season in Abu Dhabi.

All weekend long, it appeared that McLaren finally had pace over Red Bull. Hamilton in fact ran the fastest lap of all in Q2, but was only 2nd fastest to Vettel in Q3 when it counted. Button starts 3rd, with Webber 4th.

The Ferraris lock out row 3 with Alonso ahead of Massa. Rosberg leads Schumacher with a Mercedes lock out of row 4. Force India locks out row 5, Sutil over di Resta.

With the door opened, Hamilton takes command of the race and wins with only a fleeting challenge from Alonso who takes 2nd over Button in 3rd.

Just outside the podium Webber and Massa duke it out, with Massa spinning late in the race taking the pressure off Webber who ran an unusual 3 stop tire strategy, saving his prime tires for just the last lap of the race.
