Autódromo José Carlos Pace, otherwise known as Interlagos, which literally means "between lakes" is the site of Brazilian GP. The track is situated on a hilly, swampy area between two lakes, resulting in a track with lots of elevation changes and notorious bumps.

Brazil in 2011 returns to its traditional position as the final race of the season.

In 2010, qualifying was the most entertaining day of the weekend as rookie driver Nico Hulkenberg put his Williams car on pole in drying conditions. In the race, Hulkenberg couldn't fend off the championship contenders as Vettel and Webber went on to make it a RedBull 1-2. Alonso took 3rd giving him an 8 point champioship lead going into the final race of 2010 in Abu Dhabi. Qualifying Summary: Vettel sets the single season qualifying record by taking his 15th pole of 2011 in Brazil. Webber sets a close 2nd place time, locking out the front row for Red Bull.

Row 2 is all McLaren with button edging out Hamilton. While Rosberg slots in between the Ferraris of Alonso and Massa in positions 5 thru 7.

Webber's race pace dominated everyone but teammate Vettel, but Vettel's gearbox issue (reminiscent of Senna's in '91) meant letting Webber to the lead, and the eventual win. Vettel nursed his car home in 2nd.

The battle for 3rd was between Button and Alonso, with Button chasing down and passing the Ferrari that wasn't quite as fast on the prime tire.
