61 laps, 192 mi / 309.087 km
The street course in Marina Bay, Singapore is the only Formula 1 night race.
As a street circuit created from the city surface streets along the local harbor, the Singapore circuit is similar to Valencia. The course has a complicated 23 turns, and it run at night under a massive array of artificial lights in order to put the live television broadcast into prime-time for European fans.
Last season's inaugural race was underscored by a lack of passing and a win by Alonso who lucked out when his teammate crashed bringing out the Safety Car to his advantage (an incident that, one year later, is still being investigated). Rosberg took second, and Hamilton third. |

A last lap wreck by Barrichello draws out the red flag aborting several driver's fastest laps in Q3 and mixes up the starting grid.

| Race Summary: |
Hamilton pushes from pole to take the win.
Vettel and Rosberg both throw away podium finishes with pit mistakes, Vettel for speeding, and Rosberg for crossing the pit lane blend line on exit. Vettel hangs on for 4th, Rosberg drops to 11th as his drive thru penalty comes just after the safety car was deployed.
Glock, driving for his job, places a terrific 2nd. Alonso makes up for his suspect victory last year with a 3rd place result. |
